This position is responsible for safely keeping equipment running and maintained properly throughout Central Region.
Salary Range: $25.00-$38.00
Hours per week: 40
Duties and/or Responsibilities:
- Available to work Monday - Friday and weekends as needed.
- Ability to do some travel with overnight.
- Responsible to provide basic hand tools, battery and pneumatic and some specialty tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain proper licensures, medical card and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Responsible for performing maintenance and repairs of all types of equipment and / or assisting with repairs/improvements/maintenance of equipment to ensure proper safety working conditions.
- Troubleshooting equipment (visually and audibly) maintenance problems to properly diagnose components to determine method and extent of repair necessary. Read, interpret, analyze and apply information in technical manuals and schematics.
- To communicate effectively (verbal, listen & written). Frequent contact and communication with others within and outside the company. Self-motivated, team-player, ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- To properly and safely operate cutting torches and perform welding tasks.
- Fill out and maintain all needed forms, i.e. (timecards, vehicle inspection, safety forms, work orders)
- Drive and maintain mechanics work truck.
- Properly and safely operate/use and maintain specialized equipment/tools.
- Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulations compliance.
- Clean, maintain and prepare work areas.
- Must be capable of obtaining CDL.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school GED equivalent or higher, military, or work experience in related field. (Concrete, Construction, Asphalt, Aggregate production)
- Knowledge or Mechanical and/or Electrical a PLUS
