What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Screed Operator position at Knife River Mountain Region?

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform daily equipment inspections
- Perform work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
- Controls material taken into paver and the depth of material being distributed through the paver and smoothness of mat
- Ability to communicate with supervisor and testing technician if there are issues with laydown operations
- Position is expected to assist in operating other pieces of paving equipment including asphalt rollers, power brooms, skid steer loaders, and loaders as needed
- Must be willing to work flexible shifts that include days, nights, and weekends as needed
- Must be willing to do physical labor
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license but a CDL is a preferred
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background
- Job requires steady to intermittent physical activity including standing, stooping kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, shoveling, and raking
