Job Summary:
- Operation of Heavy Equipment in various construction environments.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Person shall demonstrate the ability to safely and productively perform equipment operations in various work conditions and environments.
- Person shall communicate as well as listen effectively.
- Persons shall be able to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel and to perform all duties safely and productively to ensure quality work while following all company policies.
- Operators shall have the ability to conduct daily equipment inspections to identify any safety and maintenance issues.
- Working in extreme weather conditions should be expected.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 2-years experience working as an Equipment Operator, preferably with the defined type of equipment, on highway and commercial projects.
- Must have the ability to read and understand grade and to perform minor mechanical repairs.
- Has knowledge of the aspects of paving operations.
- Applicant must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be willing to travel if job requires it.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
