Knife River Mountain Region is looking for dependable Lead Equipment/Truck Mechanic to join our Kalispell team!
Responsibilities Include, but not limited to the following:
- Help mentor and train members in the shop.
- Help maintain and repair construction trucks and equipment, including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding.
- May perform service repairs in the field.
- Perform and/or assist with significant maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, and all types of equipment to ensure that they are in safe and suitable working condition.
- Complete all paperwork that may be necessary.
- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.
- Assist in PM scheduling, parts ordering and scheduling needed repairs.
- Must have own tools.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous mechanical experience on class 8 trucks, trailers and equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Welding and fabrication experience desirable.
- Clean driving record
- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members.
