JOB TITLE: Machine Maintenance Manager
DEPARTMENT: Machine Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
SPECIAL TRAINING NEEDED:
Vocational and/or 2 Year (AA or AS) Degree preferred.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The purpose of the Machine Maintenance Manager is to oversee the machine maintenance department to ensure the performing of highly diversified duties, to install and ensure all machines are well-maintained and operating properly and to help ensure production of quality products.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of hand tools.
- Ability to use and understand electrical meters.
- Minimum of 5 years experience maintaining CNC machines.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a mechanical environment.
- Ability to perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Minimum of 3-5 years supervising employees.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
- Supervise assigned personnel, maintain records and ensure a safe work environment.
- Ensure all assigned personnel are meeting their daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance objectives.
- Provide problem solving and resolution to any and all machine maintenance issues.
- Initiate/maintain personnel training and evaluation of personnel per HR policies.
- Order all parts needed for repair and maintenance of CNC machines.
- Perform control work including cables on CNC hard drives, as well as electrical repairs.
- Perform machine modifications, such as additions of high-pressure pumps and bar feeders.
- Installation of all new CNC machines.
- Perform machine backups.
- All other duties as assigned.
