Knight Federal Solutions is seeking an experienced Signals and Communication Subject Matter Expert professional to support the U.S. Army’s future training capability Synthetic Training Environment (STE). The STE enables tough, iterative, dynamic, and realistic multi-echelon/combined arms maneuver, mission rehearsal, and mission command collective training in support of multi-domain operations. The STE will provide units the repetitions necessary to accelerate proficiency in individual through unit skill and collective task levels resulting in achieving and sustaining soldier readiness. The STE provides complex Operational Environment (OE) representations anytime and anywhere in the world. The STE will deliver collective training, accessible at the Point of Need (PoN) in the operational, self-development and institutional training domains.
The Training Simulation Management Tool (TSMT), consisting of the Training Simulation Software (TSS) and Training Management Tools (TMT), will deliver this comprehensive, collective training and mission rehearsal capability. The TSMT enables the convergence of the live, virtual, constructive, and gaming environments into the Synthetic Training Environment utilizing a single game or simulation engine. The STE TSMT delivers software applications, services and infrastructure along with compute and storage resources (both physical and cloud based) that will enable the Reconfigurable Virtual Collective Trainer (RVCT) – Ground and Air variants, RVCT Soldier – first person semi-immersive gaming capability for both individual soldiers and platforms, Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) – Squad immersive Virtual Trainer (SiVT), and the Soldier Virtual Trainer (SVT). The STE TSMT also provides a highly scalable (up to 2 million entities), entity level, constructive, Brigade (Bde) and below training capability that is driven by the TSMT game/simulation engine and provides an integrated context for all of the aforementioned training capabilities to participate in multi echelon collective training. In future STE Iterations the TSMT will also provide simulation and training management services for the Next Generation Constructive and Live Training environment as well as other training applications in conjunction with emerging Army modernization efforts.
The STE TSMT will be architected, design, developed and delivered/deployed using a highly collaborative, Government furnished, enterprise Digital Engineering and DevSecOps environment and process to facilitate frequent Soldier feedback to the vendor(s) in the planning ,design and development phases. The TSMT will be responsible for the full range of integration activities associated with planning, coordination, and documentation of the STE capability to include all supporting Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs).
Requirements:- Maneuver BDE or above staff experience
- Desired MOS’s include: 255A Data Operations Warrant Officer, 25U (Signal Support Specialist)
