Knight Material Technologies is currently seeking a full-time, Maintenance Supervisor at their East Canton location. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of maintenance and facilities team members within the Manufacturing Operations Department to ensure facilities and machinery support the ability to meet customer requirements while maintaining an environment that focuses on the Knight Material Technologies How We Work Principles of Safety and Compliance, Customer Focus, Respect, Integrity, Problem Solvers, and Teamwork.
Maintenance Supervisor
Reports to: Engineering and Maintenance Manager
Exempt position
Job Location: On-site, East Canton, OH
Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain an environment that puts Safety and Compliance first.
- Develop and maintain a team that prioritizes delivering consistent maintenance and facility support for the East Canton site.
- Actively assigns work to ensure the best use of all available resources and a high level of efficiency on a daily basis.
- Ensure on time completion of preventative maintenance and work orders through tactical, hands-on leadership of team members.
- Primary responsibility for performance evaluation of direct reports in a timely manner.
- With the support of the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, ensures accountability across assigned team.
- Communicates well with vendors to ensure proper procurement of components and works closely with Purchasing team to maintain company policies for procurement are followed.
- Organizes and manages service contractors, ensuring safety and compliance are a priority and results meet expectations.
- Holds regular meetings with team to ensure clear communication of expectations and team alignment.
- Communicates with and suggests headcount requirements within the assigned area to support company strategy.
- Maximizes resource utilization by evaluating and enhancing processes, tools, technology, and human resource capabilities working closely with plant leadership to ensure success.
- Analyzes and utilizes data from Maintenance Tracking System for performance evaluation relevant to assigned area, ensuring any variance to plan is addressed and corrected for sustained success.
- Plans, enacts, and ensures documentation of all training within assigned team.
- Actively works to improve preventative maintenance strategy
- Maintains inventory, through direct reports and individual inputs, of all maintenance stock using Maintenance Tracking System.
- Uses front line presence and hands on approach to lead the team in developing control over maintenance performance.
- Supports the administration of assigned area to ensure all team requirements are completed in a timely manner, as assigned by leadership.
- Works closely with the Manufacturing Operations team to ensure consistent performance from machinery and facilities.
- Drive culture for ISO standards and ensure conformance throughout assigned team.
- Drive 5s culture through assigned team.
Requirements
