Knight Material Technologies, LLC, has an immediate career opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our team based in Humble, TX. The Project Coordinator role supports the Project leadership in gathering information and resources to execute company projects. Main duties include maintaining scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring all deadlines are met while maintaining compliance in all functions.
Project Coordinator
Reports to: Gulf Coast Regional Operations Manager
Exempt position
Job location: Humble, TX
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance in all functions.
- Estimate cost of proposed projects, and review proposal before it's issued to the customer.
- Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, procurement, construction, and accounting functions to provide a timely completion of projects, while maximizing profit, maintaining safety and quality.
- Work with Sales and Contract Administration to ensure explicit terms and conditions exist in contract to protect Knight's interests.
- Communicate with customer to negotiate terms and ensure compliance with contract.
- Work with Sales to identify and understand customer’s acid-resistant construction needs as related to lining design and construction and provide mutually profitable solutions.
- Participate with internal safety audits during field and shop lined projects. Visit site to ensure field crew completes project to scope and within all estimated expectations. Build relationships with field crew, as well as customer’s site personnel.
Requirements
- Proficient Microsoft Office and Project software
- Integrity and strong core values.
- Construction and/or manufacturing cost estimating and budgeting experience.
- Associate degree in Construction, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or job certification for field construction or shop fabrication experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Documentation management and ability to use project management tools.
- Attention to details even under pressure.
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- 3 Years’ experience in Construction based business.
- 3 Years’ experience in Project Management.
Preferred Skills
- Foreign language skills both written and spoken are advantageous but not required.
- Field Construction Experience.
- Construction safety knowledge.
- Knowledge of steel vessel fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of Acid-Resistant linings including membrane, brick, and fluoropolymer linings.
- Knowledge of Refractory linings and Castable materials.
- Effective with dimensional Mathematic and Geometry calculations
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 5 Years’ experience in Construction/Fabrication based business.
- 5 Years’ experience in Project Management.
Physical Demands
- Must be physically capable of confined space entry in chemical process vessels.
- Role may require performing various tasks in confined spaces and elevations.
- Able to lift 50lb as needed.
- Able to climb scaffold and platforms at work locations.
- Domestic and international travel required (up to 25%).
- Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM (may require some overtime and weekend work).

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
