Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Ensure drivers are upgraded and assigned a truck in a timely fashion. Lead improvements that enhance on-boarding experience for all drivers.
- Collaborate and identify with the Director of Driver Training on areas of opportunity to improve and sharing of best practices.
- Review, approve and manage the upgrade process for driver trainees.
- Conduct research of internal retention data and analyze trends in order to identify training needs for assigned region.
- Collaborate with leadership and terminal leadership to increase collective understanding of driver needs.
- Work closely with all terminals and LOB's to understand and determine driver needs.
- Track specific metrics for each Trainer and provide guidance on how each can improve their ability to support each New Hire Driver's progression through training to solo driver status.
- Coach Trainers on critical judgment and thinking skills in order to ensure their decision making is aligned with leadership expectations and in the best interest of the company collectively.
- Communicate frequently with Trainers, Operational Partners, Trainee Drivers and Driver Mentors to identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize organizational results.
- Create and utilize available reports to assist in maintaining and achieving desired metrics.
- Assist Terminal teams with proactively pairing of Trainer's and Trainee's.
- Assist Terminals, Trainers, and Training Leads on safety compliance (SD, Permits, Med Cards, Randoms etc.)
- Review payroll report for accuracy correcting mistakes proactively.
- Participate and monitor recognition campaigns to ensure accurate and timely distribution.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organizations objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring
- 2 years transportation operations experience required.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
- Must possess basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Must possess advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Must possess strong problem solving skills.
Pay Range: $55,000 - $68,000 Annual
