Technician
Thuasne has an immediate opening in Hamlet, NC for a 3rd Shift Technician.
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- · Performs style and size changes within capabilities.
- · Communicates with all knitting personnel on machine performance issues.
- · Documents issues on the “communication board” to inform Master Technician, Head Technician or Manager of machine issues.
- · Helps maintain and manage yarn inventory.
- · Participates in Knitting Department shift meeting and trainings for continuous improvement /education.
- · Performs weekly machine maintenance on assigned machines to meet expectations per the audit conducted by the Master Technician, Head Technician or Manager.
- · Re-needle knitting machines as needed.
- · Helps train, mentor, and guide inexperienced knitters.
- · Keeps work areas clean.
- · Must be willing to have Flexible schedule.
- · Help maintain safe accident-free work environment in Knitting department.
- · Works with Master Technician, Head Technician or Manager maintaining effectiveness of parts.
- · All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- · High School or equivalent
- · 2-3 years minimum experience required in circular knitting environment.
- · Must have met knitting operator requirements.
- · Knowledge of Circular Knitting Machines to include Lonati, and Santoni
- · Ability to work flexible schedule off shift when and where needed.
- · Ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
- · Must possess mechanical aptitude toward knitting and knitting machines.
- · Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form
