About the Role
The qualified individual will perform daily maintenance activities, including repairs and maintenance of material handling equipment and facilities. This position may require shift flexibility and the ability to work any assigned shift.
The Impact You Can Have
- Participate in maintenance activities, including minor low-voltage electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and repair of MHE/conveyors.
- Analyze defects and failures in the above-referenced areas, ensuring resolution with minimal disruption to daily operation of material handling systems and facility needs.
- Communicate closely with operations staff on problems associated with material handling equipment and building facility needs.
- Perform preventative maintenance on material handling and facilities equipment per provided schedule.
- Examine equipment, processes, operations, and assembly to determine time or quality revisions and suggest improvement.
- Participate in team building at all levels within the distribution environment.
- Familiarize yourself with safe work practices to prevent accidents.
- Assume additional duties and responsibilities as required to meet established goals of the facility.
You'll Bring to the Role
- 2-3 years of previous maintenance experience preferred.
- Hands-on electrical and material handling, conveyor control, and maintenance experience (trade school or two-year degree a plus).
- Knowledge of high-speed sortation and complex integrated MHE systems.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and provide effective operations support without significant supervisor oversight.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- PC knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Familiar with general lockout/tag-out procedures.
