Summary
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/ Certified Medication Aide (MAC), you will be integral to providing compassionate patient care and support within various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Reporting to the nursing staff, your core skills in patient service, medical documentation, and basic life support will ensure the well-being of patients. Your premium experience in critical care and long-term care, along with relevant skills in EMR systems and working with individuals with developmental disabilities, will enhance the quality of care provided. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient conditions, ensuring accurate medical documentation.
- Assist in the implementation of care plans and support patients with mobility and rehabilitation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient service and support.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or a Certified Medication Aide
- Proficient in basic life support and patient care
- Knowledge of EMR and EHR systems (Point Click Care PCC)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation
- Experience in long-term care, assisted living, and memory care settings
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient service best practices
- Ability to work with diverse populations, including those with developmental disabilities and Alzheimer’s care
