Summary:

The Supervisor, Residential Field Sales- MDU will supervise, train and inspire Residential Field Sales- MDU Representatives to achieve quota while maintaining and growing set Multi Dwelling Units (MDU) penetration goals in existing contracted properties and ensuring the company’s quality and customer service standards are maintained. This role supports business relationships with building owners and management companies to achieve installation and penetration goals while improving and innovating the customer experience consistent with company standards, practices, and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Represent and work cross functionally with the MDU leadership team to execute the company MDU penetration objectives.
  • Review and manage MDU portfolios assigned to the residential sales MDU team to maximize penetration at assigned properties.
  • Responsible for managing and growing MDU penetration across the enterprise through internal Field Sales team members and through 3rd party contractor teams
  • Lead and coordinate EdgeOut sales activities with the cross functional collaboration with marketing, MDU, construction, and operations teams
  • Meet or exceed company established turf management, prospect, closing standards, product sell-in mix and sales quota standards
  • Assist in the interview/hiring process, coaching, counseling and ongoing performance review process for residential sales MDU team, administering discipline consistent with company standards and procedures
  • Train and monitor residential field sales MDU team on proper sales presentation with new products, pricing and packaging changes, discounts, marketing and other program changes as required
  • Ensure quality of sales with a keen focus on retention and churn management
  • Perform daily one-on-one field training, participating, observing, and monitoring residential sales MDU team to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets
  • Develop alignment with Field Ops local leadership teams
  • Summarize and report current customer sales trends, field conditions, and resource issues
  • Issue company approved nodes and review production and disposition
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly productivity and performance status reports
  • Review daily installs, reschedules, and cancels of sales team to monitor quality assurance processes and quality compliance
  • Facilitate resolution of customer escalations from sales team with appropriate cross functional team
  • Maintain company policies and standards concerning the sales order process
  • Maintain accurate time off records in accordance with company procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required. BA/BS (preferably in Sales, Marketing or Business) or equivalent in training and experience combined preferred

Experience/Skills Needed:

  • 3 years' experience selling product to consumers through a Field Sales channel required
  • 3 years' experience in the Cable, Broadband and Telecom preferred
  • 3 years supervisory experience in a Field Sales organization preferred
  • Experience working with third-party contractors preferred
  • Knowledge about MDUs and the sales journey to successfully lead sales teams working in MDUs preferred
  • Maintain professional appearance and appropriate behavior; promote positive attitude and good employee morale
  • Developing and delivering field sales training experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and providing feedback to improve sales performance
  • Door-to-door selling of our full line of our services to serviceable residential homes and communities

  • Must be able to work in inclement weather
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the standards of our insurance company
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., e.g. boxes of sales and marketing materials, display objects, etc.
  • Travel to different markets required as needed
