Intern Assignment:
The KBC Design Validation Intern is a key position that will assist in various activities to support the Testing and Commissioning Department in operating efficiently.
Essential Functions:
Sitting, standing, walking, alternate sitting or standing at will, crouching, pushing or pulling, stopping, reaching overhead, kneeling, lifting or carrying a maximum of 50 LBS.
The KBC Design Validation Intern is a key position that will assist in various activities to support the Testing and Commissioning Department in operating efficiently.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
- Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
- Must understand and comply with applicable standards. ( i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI).
- Maintain and safeguard business records.
- Assisting Design Validation personnel in the design, fabrication, and validation of System functional Test Racks. This includes the design and fabrication of mechanical and electrical components.
- Assisting Design Validation personnel in the design, fabrication, validation, and performance of component qualification/investigative tests. As experience is gained, the candidate will take over responsibility of these tasks and handle them from start to finish.
- Assist with day-to-day activities of the Design Validation Department in a wide variety of tasks across the Brakes, Doors, and HVAC business units. Use skills learned to troubleshoot and investigate issues that may arise in the lab.

- 0-2 Years Relevant Experience
- Student should be a current college student.
- Engineering Field of Study.
- GPA 3.0 or higher.
- Office Environment, including use of computer terminal.
- Primarily operates in a climate-controlled, shop floor production environment.
- Employee may be exposed to noise, heat, cold, dust, and dirt.
