JOB DESCRIPTION:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Superintendent oversees the facilities and grounds for all Huntington manufacturing locations. This position will lead, manage, and set the strategy for the Facilities, Grounds, and Custodial Teams to achieve operational objectives such as safety, quality, reliability, cost, continuous improvement, and employee morale. This position will ensure that all items related to facilities and grounds are maintained in a professional and reliable manner. These items may include: All grounds including mowing and snow removal. HVAC are maintained and in working order. Custodial activities, Compressed air distribution, Utility distribution, Fire sprinkler and alarm systems etc. Obtain an intimate understanding of all facilities equipment assuring knowledge and replacement parts are readily available. Manage staff of facilities technicians and ensure performance is held at a high level. Work closely with the Maintenance Superintendent to assist with equipment repairs as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Serves as the leader for facility maintenance, real estate projects, infrastructure, and facility services.
- Works closely with HSE manger and leads energy conservation projects.
- Provides leadership to assigned contract service organizations.
- Provides technical expertise, program management, and guidance as applicable for floor plan layouts, building structure expansions, renovation programs and significant equipment installation.
- Achieves plant cost reduction targets.
- Understands current quality policies and procedures (IATF 16949).
- Ensure required records, permits, and reports are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines by local, state, and federal agencies.
- Ensure facilities equipment has appropriate preventative and routine maintenance schedules and sees through to execution.
- Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns diagnosing faults and repairing machinery
- Train facilities technicians to respond appropriately to equipment challenges
- Implement preventative, predictive, and autonomous maintenance programs for facility related equipment.
- Ensure replacement spare parts are available for repairs.
- Ensure compliance with plant policies and procedures including requirement for TS16949 and ISO14001
- Establish sustainable process to improve MTBF (Mean time between failures) and MTTR (Mean time to repair) metrics and reduce frequency of breakdowns for facility related equipment.
- Collaborate with Maintenance superintendent with resource and contractor allocation.
- Provide services such as security, window cleaning, lawn mowing and snow removal for all facilities in Huntington.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is preferred
- At least 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience leading a team of at least 5 direct reports is preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as an Engineering or Maintenance professional is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- SAP Experience is a plus.
