The Role: Lead Gearbox Mechanic

We’re looking for a skilled Lead Gearbox Mechanic to join our team. If you’re an experienced professional with a passion for hands-on work, problem-solving, and leading by example, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and reassemble industrial gearboxes and AC motors
• Use precision tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) to measure and record mechanical fits and clearances
• Perform electrical testing using multi-meters, meggers, and Baker instruments
• Collect and analyze vibration spectrums using handheld meters
• Conduct laser alignments with specialized tools and software
• Prepare detailed failure reports and participate in project discussions

What You Bring to the Team:

• 5 years of experience with gearboxes and AC/DC motors
• 2 years of leadership or team coordination experience
• Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools and electrical testing instruments
• A problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs
