The Role: Lead Gearbox Mechanic
We’re looking for a skilled Lead Gearbox Mechanic to join our team. If you’re an experienced professional with a passion for hands-on work, problem-solving, and leading by example, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and reassemble industrial gearboxes and AC motors
- Use precision tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) to measure and record mechanical fits and clearances
- Perform electrical testing using multi-meters, meggers, and Baker instruments
- Collect and analyze vibration spectrums using handheld meters
- Conduct laser alignments with specialized tools and software
- Prepare detailed failure reports and participate in project discussions
What You Bring to the Team:
- 5 years of experience with gearboxes and AC/DC motors
- 2 years of leadership or team coordination experience
- Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools and electrical testing instruments
- A problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Great communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs
