What You’ll Do
As a key part of our service team, you’ll be responsible for:
- Maintenance & Repair: Servicing generator sets ranging from 5–5000kW and troubleshooting Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), including bypass isolation and closed transition systems
- Engine Diagnostics: Diagnosing and repairing diesel and gaseous engines, including ignition and fuel systems
- Performance Testing: Performing load bank testing to ensure compliance and peak performance
- Team Collaboration: Assisting fellow technicians on large-scale or complex jobs
- Preventative Maintenance: Conducting oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections for system reliability
What We’re Looking ForEducation & Experience
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in electrical/mechanical field preferred
- Generac certification or 5–10 years of generator experience highly desirable
- Military experience (e.g., Air Force Electrical Power Production, Navy Electrician’s Mate) a strong plus
Skills & Requirements
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and time management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF tools
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight/confined spaces
- Comfortable working around mechanical and electrical equipment in indoor/outdoor environments
- Willingness to travel overnight 1–3 nights/week (expenses covered)
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass a DOT physical
