About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Delivery Lead to serve as both a player and coach in our project management organization. In this role, you will directly manage complex, high-visibility projects while simultaneously leading and developing our team of project managers. Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership (Player)

• Lead complex, high-priority projects from inception through successful delivery
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders and executive sponsors
• Effectively manage scope, budget, timelines, and quality to ensure project success
• Identify and mitigate risks before they impact project outcomes
• Create and deliver executive-level communications and presentations

Team Leadership (Coach)

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers at various experience levels
• Establish and enforce project management best practices, methodologies, and tools
• Provide coaching and guidance to help team members navigate complex project challenges
• Conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations to support professional growth
• Identify skill gaps and implement training and development initiatives
• Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement

Strategic Leadership

• Contribute to organizational strategy for project management excellence
• Develop standardized processes, templates, and tools to improve delivery efficiency
• Identify opportunities for cross-project synergies and resource optimization
• Collaborate with department leaders to align project priorities with business objectives
• Drive adoption of project management best practices across the organization

Qualifications

Required Experience

• 7 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional projects with significant budgets
• Experience building and leading high-performing project management teams
• Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
• Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field

Preferred Experience

• PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification
• Experience in election technology or government software
• Background in software development projects
• Experience managing projects with regulatory or compliance requirements
