1. Senior Budget Analyst – 1 Position
Job Summary : The University Budget Office is seeking a skilled Budget Analyst to support both traditional budgetary functions and the transition to the new financial system, CUNYwork. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, technical proficiency, and a commitment to enhancing the financial operations of the university.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the preparation, analysis, and monitoring of the university's budget.
- Support the implementation and integration of the CUNYwork financial system.
- Conduct financial analysis and generate reports to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate budget forecasting and allocation.
- Provide technical support and training related to the new financial system.
- Identify and resolve budget discrepancies and variances.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure the financial integrity of various budgets and financial data.
- Assist with various revenue and expense projections analysis.
- Maintenance of various datasets for expenses, revenue, staffing, enrollment, and other indicators.
- Assist with special and ad hoc reports and analyses, as needed.

The City University of New York’s Office of Treasury Management (OTM) plays a critical role in the University’s operations by overseeing four key financial areas : Bursar, Cash Management, Payment Card Industry Compliance, and Student Financial Aid Operations.
The Student Financial Aid Operations unit is seeking a dedicated individual for an entry-level temporary position. The role involves supporting CUNYfirst (PeopleSoft) processing, including centralized financial aid disbursements, reconciliation for federal aid programs, student refunding, and Federal Work-Study (FWS) payroll activities. The position will assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, city, and institutional guidelines while facilitating quality customer service, timely payments, and accurate recordkeeping.
