Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Paralegal Certificate
- Eligible to work in New York State
- Conduct legal and insurance research for the Life Bureau Deputy Superintendent, Assistant Deputy Superintendents, and Life Bureau senior staff as needed.
- Assist with drafting materials (ex. Consent Orders, Stipulations) under supervision of Deputy Superintendent or senior staff.
- Review and summarize industry and regulatory reports, including National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) materials.
- Review draft examination reports and memorandums.
- Review and summarize proposed and final legislative materials.
- Assist with Segregated Gift Annuity Fund licensing, including maintaining records of required applicant materials submitted and retention of documents.
- Assist Segregated Gift Annuity Fund attorneys and actuaries in their respective roles.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to multitask
