Founded in 2009 by the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino, Knowledge and Education for Your Success (KEYS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, private-public partnership, dedicated to enhancing access to supportive services for low-income residents in San Bernardino County. KEYS provides an array of services including case management to assist families and individuals in accessing existing resources and services within the County.
In summary, the FINANCE MANAGER will be responsible for all financial matters of the non-profit including planning, managing and overseeing the financial activities and operations of the non-profit and overseeing the finance department.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assumes full management responsibility for all departmental services, and activities, including overseeing functions such as budgeting, accounting, audits, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, and reconciliations.
- Prepares financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, lead sheets, cash flow reports, annual budgets, forecasts and analytical reports.
- Coordinates the development and administration of the non-profits annual budget; leads financial forecasting and planning for each grant; tracks and compares the adopted budgets with actuals; directs the preparation of and implementation of budget revisions as necessary. Monitors budget for variances, by grant, and ensures fiduciary accountability.
- Manages the development and implementation of the finance department's goals, objectives, policies and priorities.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration finance, or a closely related field. Eight (8) years of increasingly responsible fiscal management experience including four years in a supervisory and management capacity. Previous experience working for a government or non-profit working in the Finance or Accounting team is a must.
