The organization serves youth and their families primarily residing in the 38126 and 38106 zip codes of Memphis, TN from three sites within a 2-mile corridor along Walker Avenue known as the “Knowledge Quest Kids Zone.” KQ’s mission is to vigorously equip youth and their families to maximize their potential through education, wellness and economic stability and its vision is to transform lives by expanding minds. .

Essential Duties
- Lead efforts in the recruitment and retention of students for the afterschool program.
- Plan and execute recruitment events to attract new students.
- Ensure the quality and systemization of the program at each site.
- Monitor and evaluate site implementation and effectiveness.
- Oversee budget management, including requisitions and spending.
- Track and report on program financials.
- Complete and maintain required documentation related to programming.
- Work closely with management on program design and development.
- Collaborate on grant updates and proposals.
- Communicate and coordinate with partners, funders, and other stakeholders.
- Create, implement, and continuously improve program documents and materials.
- Assess and enhance the overall program quality.
- Ensure sites comply with laws, policies, regulations, and grant requirements.
- Monitor site compliance and address any issues promptly.
Minimum Qualifications
· A Bachelors degree
· Five years of leadership experience (can be from a combination of professional, volunteer and/or religious experience) working with youth populations and coordination education projects from inception to completion.
· Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suites
· Preferred fields are social work, psychology, education-related fields, or management.
· Five years of documented work experience post-high school.
Preferred Skills
Strong communication as well as organizational skills are required for this role. High energy is required to move around the site to effectively manage operations. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently, problem solve, and function competently and professionally within a framework of conflicting demands, competing timeframes as well as potential interruptions and distractions. Be flexible after receiving feedback and direction from the supervisor, then implement effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
