Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Knox Community Hospital (KCH), this leader will have the opportunity to be a part of an outstanding senior leadership team to collaboratively develop and execute key strategies and lead operations of a continuously growing health system focused on high reliability and delivery of high quality, safe, accessible, and cost effective care to residents of Knox County and surrounding areas.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESOversees all operational aspects of the organization.Continuously monitors and evaluates results of overall operations reporting concerns and opportunities to the Chief Executive Officer and senior leadership with recommendations for correction and improvement.Demonstrates ability to monitor, recommend, and implement approved changes in response to resource needs, cost-effectiveness, and productivity requirements.Provides leadership and management to all personnel with special focus on areas with direct reporting relationship to the COO position.Assumes direct accountability for cost-effective financial performance of all resources within areas of assigned responsibility.Significant participation in development of organizational strategic plan and aligns divisional goals and objectives with long range vision. Participates as member of senior administrative team for strategy, decision-making, operational oversight, and communication.Collaborates with others to identify and develop opportunities for new and / or expanded programs seeking to increase service, volumes, revenue, and market share.Develops, supports, and assists in implementing organizational and divisional policies and procedures.Works to promote excellent clinical outcomes, improved patient and customer satisfaction, and optimal utilization of human and financial resources.Builds and maintains trust, credibility, and integrity with multiple stakeholders.Collaborates, communicates, and maintains effective relationships with the Board of Trustees, Medical Staff, hospital staff, healthcare partners, providers, patient customers, and community.Participates as administrative representative on hospital governing bodies, Medical Staff and hospital committees, task forces, and project initiatives.Interacts with partner organizations, members of the community, and media as appropriate to promote good will and positive image of the organization.Ensures organization activities are carried out in compliance with regulatory agency requirements and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and laws.Maintains patient, employee, physician, and organization confidentiality; respects rights, privacy, and property of others.Completes all required compliance, ethics, and professional training in a timely manner.Requirements IncludeMaster’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or similar level of education in healthcare-related field.Minimum of five (5) years success in operational management of acute care hospital.Demonstrated experience and success with process improvement, compliance, regulatory, and quality-of-care efforts.#J-18808-Ljbffr
