JOB SUMMARY:
The Membership Sales Representative is responsible for obtaining Fitness Center memberships, and participating in special events, promotions, and planning. Provide tours of the facility to prospective members and achieving established membership goals. Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality care to adolescent, adult and geriatric clients. Responsible for being knowledgeable of standards of practice of a medical fitness center integrated with a rehabilitation setting.
Responsible for excelling in courteous and respectful customer service at all times to every customer. Assures the safety of all customers. Effectively communicates with all customers. Effectively communicates and collaborates with other health care team members and between intra/inter departments. Adheres to organizational policy and procedures; abides by regulatory/accrediting body requirements and professional practice standards. Assist with the daily operations and collecting statistics within the Center for Rehabilitation and Wellness. Responsible for completing in a timely manner all assigned tasks and duties utilizing multi-tasking skills. Responsible for assuring confidentiality of customer information and departmental information.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sells fitness center memberships through the development of new leads, fitness center tours, phone and email inquiries, and prospecting of all lead sources.
- Meets or exceeds weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals as determined by Medical Fitness Center Coordinator and Director of Rehabilitation and Wellness.
- Prepares weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports as assigned.
- Develops proficiency in the use of a computerized lead tracking system.
- Becomes involved in local civic organizations (e.g. Chamber of Commerce)
- Assists with membership promotional concepts and planning.
- Assists with processing membership paperwork.
- Participates in Center for Rehabilitation and Wellness special events
- EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree in sales, marketing, public relations, or other related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- One-year sales experience, preferably in a health club setting.
- Ability to work variable hours as necessary.
- Current CPR certificate required.
