Full-Day/Full-Year Lead Teacher
Knox County Head Start (KCHS) is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator for our Gambier Child Care Center. The ideal candidate will have at minimum a Child Development Associate (CDA), experience working with young children and be inspired to guide children’s healthy development and learning in a full-day/full-year Infant/Toddler (birth to 3) classroom.

Infant/Toddler teachers implement the Creative Curriculum and Conscious Discipline® with children served under the Head Start program and private pay child care. Teachers support children’s development with screenings and assessment utilizing developmentally appropriate strategies. Teachers establish partnerships with parents to assist parents in their role as children’s first and most important teacher. The teacher actively trains and develops assistant teachers and teacher aides in the classroom.
The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and possess strong computer skills and/or data entry experience.
