What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at Knox County Landfill?
The Knox County Landfill is accepting applications until 4 : 00pm; January 7 2025, for a Mechanic . Candidates must be able to repairs, maintain and service heavy equipment, over the road tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, roll off boxes, pick up trucks, mowers, tractors, pumps and all other landfill equipment. Additional duties consist of changing and repairing tires, cleaning equipment, keeping records of all service and repairs and other duties as assigned. Diesel Certification preferred, but experience will be considered. Applicants will be subject to a background check and a pre-employment drug test. The starting salary is $29.87 an hour.
