Provide support to families involved with Social Services including supervising parent / child visits. Essential FunctionsESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Evaluates safety and risk of all children being served in all interactions. Recruit, train, and certify agency supervised childcare providers. Process applications for new Type B, Type A and In-home aide providers.Facilitate provisional and ongoing licensing of county childcare providers.Complete required periodic inspections, monitor and evaluate homes on an ongoing basis. Recertify childcare provider homes as determined necessary by existing rules and legislation. Maintain a file of required documentation for each childcare provider.Assist childcare providers with Kinderconnect Program regarding attendance, pay and TAPS (in / out).Accept and investigate referrals and complaints made against childcare home providers.Determine childcare eligibility for families in Knox County. Obtain required verifications for childcare applicants to determine eligibility for assistance. Utilize childcare data systems to enter required information in a timely manner to determine family eligibility. Utilize EDMS to scan all documents required to support eligibility of the family. Attend state required training for updates and changes as offered. Supervise parent / child visitations at KCDJFS and / or other locations. Documents casework in SACWIS. Scans and documents information into EDMS / TRAVERSE. Attends and participates in necessary court hearings; supervision and training; family team meetings; case reviews; semi-annual reviews; individual and group supervision sessions; team and staff meetings and any other relevant training or agency meeting. Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Standards The minimum qualifications are as follows : 1) completion of undergraduate major core coursework or two years' technical training in behavioral science, social science, early childhood development technology, education or related field; or 2) four courses in behavioral science one of which must be in child development, or two years' experience in behavioral science of which six months must be in the area of child development, one course or six months experience in business mathematics, one course or six months experience in interviewing, one course or six months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing; or 3) education, training and / or experience in an amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications sated above.
