GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for managing the intake Department by developing, implementing, and maintaining revenue-generating strategies along with the managing intake staff.

Minimum Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Three years of work experience in an intake role in a Behavioral Health treatment facility preferred; must have knowledge of secretarial, office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment, at a level generally acquired through one or more years related experience.
- three plus years' experience healthcare related admissions with Bachelors; or Three or more years healthcare related experience, with Master's, CAC or CADC with a minimum of five years in the substance abuse treatment field. Five years' experience in the substance abuse field.
- Provide leadership to the Intake Department and pre-admission process to assure proper processes are in place and being used to coordinate admissions.
- Implement the strategic plan of the business development and marketing department as it pertains to admission to the facility and direct potential clients to treatment.
- Provide leadership in addressing quality management issues related to crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admission to the facility.
- Assign/distribute scheduled evaluations, intakes or admissions as dictated by request and hospital census
- Conduct quality assurance and quality improvement programs for all crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admission services.
- Complete Admission reports as it pertains quality of process improvement
- Responsible for the hiring and scheduling decisions for Admissions Department personnel, provide orientation, in-service and continuing education programs for department staff and other internal positions responsible for crisis triage and/or evaluation services.
- Work to improve efficiency and quality in delivering services within the department, responsible for developing and meeting departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensure that department is up to date on and compliant with new laws and regulations.
- Determine and implement admissions best-practices, promote the hospital, and maintain a satisfied patient base.
- Uses language that is easily understood and appropriate for the specific situation.
- Demonstrates customer service behaviors when interacting with patients, team members and guests.
- Communicates patient information in a concise, accurate, timely, and confidential manner.
- Utilizes available resources to assist with communication needs
- Ensures that accurate information is communicated in a timely and effective manner throughout the hospital.
