Work Hours: 40 hours / week: M-F

About the Role: This position is responsible for the overall planning, scheduling, budgeting, oversight, and management of construction projects. Serves as a liaison to crews, inspectors, engineers, technical experts, permitting agencies, and management. Responsible to ensure job quality, budget adherence, and project documentation. Job duties could include design work as well as approving work orders, creating progress reports, managing field changes, vetting invoices, and creating as-built records to ensure compliance with standards and policies. Must understand and adhere to contract documents, permit requirements and make decisions in the field that are technically accurate while following the contract language. Must monitor project expenses, analyze costs and benefits for specific construction projects and evaluate field design changes to keep the project on schedule and within budget. Other tasks could include writing/reviewing professional contracts, reviewing regulatory constraints, reviewing job packages, reviewing policies/procedures/standards, asset tracking, material/supply tracking, bid support, and supporting customer needs (internal/external). May require after hours response in emergency situations.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
Works primarily in an office setting, but field visits and field activities may be required. These field visits may include: emergency response activities and support beyond normal business hours, heavy lifting or strenuous work and mobility over rough terrain. Requires bending, stooping, lifting, and working in awkward and strenuous positions at times. Occasionally requires above normal mental and visual alertness. Note: The physical demands described above are intended to relate the approximate physical demands of the classification.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and understand construction drawings, standards, and specifications
Ability to work as part of a team to achieve departments and KUB goals
Ability to document daily tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel, or other software as requested
Valid driver's license
Preferred Requirements
Experience with cost estimates, budgeting, and other project expense management
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field or five (5) years of direct construction project management experience
Ability to utilize AutoCad, Microstation, or other computer-aided drafting software
