Landscape Installation Crew Leader

Knoxville Leaf and Lawn, LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Landscape Installation Crew Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in landscape and hardscape projects, proficiency in operating heavy equipment, strong leadership abilities, and the capability to drive a truck and trailer. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Crew Leadership: Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of landscape installation workers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of landscape and hardscape projects, ensuring all work adheres to design specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain heavy equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, excavators, and other machinery required for landscape and hardscape installations.
- Hardscape Installation: Execute and oversee the installation of hardscape elements, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with safety standards, making adjustments as necessary to meet project requirements.
- Logistics Management: Coordinate the delivery and use of materials and equipment at job sites, manage inventory, and ensure the efficient use of resources.
- Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor crew members, fostering skill development and adherence to company policies and best practices.
- Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all crew members.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in landscape and hardscape installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Equipment Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment used in landscape and hardscape projects.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of landscape design principles, hardscape construction techniques, and horticultural practices.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
