Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Hartford, CT. The ER RN will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting, collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to assess, treat, and stabilize patients with acute medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, triage, treatment, and monitoring.
- Administer medications, IVs, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform life-saving interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Connecticut (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
