Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Float

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Medical Surgical Float Nurse in Muskegon, MI. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care across various medical-surgical units, ensuring the best outcomes for patients while maintaining a flexible and dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple med-surg units.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans effectively.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient conditions, report changes, and document care in accordance with hospital policies.
- Ensure patient safety and promote a positive care environment.
- Float between units as assigned based on staffing needs and patient acuity.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in medical-surgical nursing.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must be active).
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills to manage multiple patient care scenarios.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior float pool experience preferred but not required.
Schedule:
- Shift: Night (12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week)
- Flexible to accommodate rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
