Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical to join our healthcare team in Clinton Twp, MI. The RN will provide high-quality patient care, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor patients’ conditions, administer medications, and provide treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, post-treatment care, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems.
- Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Ensure a safe and sterile environment by following infection control protocols.
- Assist in coordinating patient discharges and transitions of care.
- Support and mentor nursing staff, students, and other healthcare team members as needed.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of one year of recent Med Surg nursing experience required.
- BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
