Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedics to join our healthcare team in Racine, WI. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care to individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries and musculoskeletal conditions. This role requires clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to orthopedic patients, including post-operative care and pain management.
- Monitor patient progress and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, rehabilitation, and recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist in mobilization and rehabilitation efforts to promote patient independence.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and team members.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Wisconsin (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of orthopedic nursing experience preferred.
- BLS/ACLS certification (as required by facility).
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
