Responsibilities :
- Ability to accurately complete Uniform Nursing Assessments for current and prospective residents to support all communities within the Walker Methodist organization.
- Flexibility in shift assignments, and ability to travel to various buildings, as assigned.
- Locations and dates of assignment may vary daily, weekly, or monthly. Advance notice of assignments will be provided.
- Demonstrate performance and competence associated with position. Function within the scope of practice and meet all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate a consistent level of productivity.
- Prioritizes resident care based on physical, functional, and psychosocial assessment data.
- Demonstrate leadership through the supervision of both licensed and non-licensed staff.
- Act as a role model and mentor staff, as needed.
- Assign / delegate resident care according to resident requirements / needs and skill level of staff.
- Plan resident care based on resident requirements / needs.
- Initiate and update resident care plan / service plan to address the needs and strengths of each resident, including relevant goals and approaches for optimal outcomes.
- Update the Director of Health Services or designee of all significant changes in a timely manner.
- Function as a resident advocate for care concerns.
- Attend appropriate staff meetings / in-services as mandated by Federal and State law, and Walker Methodist standards.
- Ability to provide direct care to senior living residents, including memory care.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.
Requirements :
Education : Current, active licensure in the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS Certification.
Required Experience : Previous experience working with a senior population. Previous experience caring for residents with dementia. Previous experience working with an electronic medical record. One year assisted living or long-term care experience, preferred.
Job Requirements : Ability to travel to different locations during the week, current MN Driver’s License in good standing, reliable transportation and automobile insurance are required. Mileage will be reimbursed.
Salary : $37 - $51
