Schedule: Part Time | 20 hours per week
Join Vivie and help us create meaningful impact! As a wellness specialist, you will be joining an expanding wellness program, working alongside another wellness specialist to design and lead engaging wellness programs that enhance residents’ physical health, mobility, and overall well-being, while also providing support to members with dementia to promote their cognitive and emotional well-being

Minimum Requirements:
- Associates degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or equivalent
- ACSM, NSCA, ACE, NASM, or Group Exercise Instructor certification or equivalent nationally-recognized certification
- Current BLS certification
- Experience evaluating, designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for older adults
- Working knowledge of exercise contraindications and appropriate exercise techniques to common medical issues such as joint issues, cardio-pulmonary disease and metabolic disease
- Experience working in a healthcare environment
- Ability to organize work flow with timely follow-through
- Commitment to assisting seniors in developing to their fullest potential

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or equivalent
- ACSM - EP or Senior Fitness specific certification or equivalent nationally-recognized certification
- Experience leading group exercise classes and/or nationally recognized group exercise certification.
- Knowledge of bio-mechanics and postural issues and general knowledge of pharmacology
- Experience working in a non-profit healthcare environment
