Construction Superintendent - Contract

As an Onsite Superintendent with KO Construction, your role will involve overseeing daily operations, ensuring all subcontractors and trades are aligned with the project’s timeline, quality standards, and safety protocols. You’ll be hands-on in directing and coordinating the activities of all trades, maintaining site efficiency, and ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget. Leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication with all stakeholders are key to the success of the projects under your supervision.

This is a contract position - pay range is $4,800-5,800 per month during duration of contract.

What you'll do

• Manage Subcontractors & Trades: Supervise and coordinate the work of all subcontractors and trades on-site, ensuring each team adheres to project schedules, specifications, and safety guidelines.

• Site Coordination: Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring smooth operations across all areas of the site, including foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, and specialty work.

• Safety Leadership: Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and the safety of all personnel on-site.

• Quality Control: Monitor construction quality, ensuring that all work performed by subcontractors meets industry standards and the project’s design specifications.

• Scheduling & Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the schedule for subcontractors, ensuring timely deliveries of materials, equipment, and labor for uninterrupted progress.

• Problem Resolution: Identify potential issues and resolve conflicts between subcontractors or with project resources, minimizing delays and keeping the project on track.

• Daily Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of progress, issues, and site conditions, and report key updates to project management and stakeholders.

• Project Documentation: Ensure that all necessary inspections, permits, and regulatory documentation are completed on time and in compliance with local building codes.

• Compliance Oversight: Monitor that all construction work meets local regulations, zoning laws, and safety standards, facilitating required inspections and approvals.

• Team Leadership & Development: Provide leadership and direction to subcontractors and trades, promoting teamwork, professional communication, and high performance across the project team.

• Clean jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must have prior Superintendent Construction experience

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• You are an expert in all aspects of onsite build, safety, and quality control

• You work well under pressure, meeting deadlines for building stages

• You excel in relationship management

• Experience working with industry standard management software required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions

• Must be able to stand and walk up to eight plus hours per day and climb ladders while carrying materials
