What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Host position at KOA CAMPGROUND?
This is a seasonal position May-October. Candidates must be 21 and hold a valid driver's license.
Shifts will vary from 3pm-11pm and 4pm-12am Fridays and Saturdays are mandatory. Days off will vary based on business needs and may not be consecutive.
INTRODUCTION TO ROLE
Camp Hosts' responsibilities are vast and include greeting guests, performing camp security checks, completing planned campground improvement projects, preparing golf carts for rental, assisting with boat rentals, cleaning exterior sites after checkout, and making deliveries of firewood, ice, etc. Also included in the scope of work are quiet hours checks, ensuring fires are attended to at all times, making certain that golf cart safety rules are adhered to, and other duties as assigned. This position is involved in overall campground rules, cleanliness, and safety requirements. The candidate must be comfortable enforcing rules, navigating confrontation, and acting as point of contact at night for the camp.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. In an outdoor setting, the employee must be able to perform in all weather conditions.
