Koa Sports is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, whose mission is to Shape Kids' Lives Through Sports. Koa Sports Multisport and Activities Camp is a recreational day camp for children in grades PreK to 6th Grade. Koa Sports is seeking dedicated camp counselors who can assist with the daily operations of an active day camp. At Koa, we pride ourselves on creating a positive environment for our campers and their families.
Work Schedule
Summer 2025: June 11, 2025 – August 22, 2025 (35 - 40 hours per week)
Session 1: June 16 – 20 | Session 2: June 23 – June 27 | Session 3: July 7 – 12
Session 4: July 14 – 18 | Session 5: July 21 – 25 | Session 6: July 28 – Aug 1
Session 7: Aug 4 - 9 | Session 8: Aug 11 - 15 | Session 9: Aug 18 - 22

- Must be available to work at least 4 camp weeks*
- Core Camp Hours: Monday through Friday 9am – 3pm
- Before Care: 8am - 9am
- After Care: 3pm – 5pm

Camp Location(s)
- Main Camp Location: CESJDS Upper School (11710 Hunters Ln, Rockville, MD 20852)
- Other Camp locations in Bethesda, Kensington, and Rockville (Swim & Tennis Club Locations)
- Plan, lead, encourage, and engage kids in various activities, sports, and specialized activities including but not limited to street hockey, soccer, kickball, basketball, wiffle ball, PE games, board/card games, arts & crafts, and water activities.
- Demonstrate use of sport recreational equipment and teaches participants the principles, techniques, and safety procedures for each activity.
- Build and maintain open communication with campers, camp staff and Koa staff members.
- Assist the camp director and other camp counselors with the daily operations of summer camp.
- Must have own transportation for the duration of employment
- Previous experience working with children or caring for children.
- Experience with various recreational sports.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive attitude.
- Must be able to get to work on time.
