Operations Manager: Koala Insulation of Greater Salt Lake
Job Summary:
At Koala Insulation of Greater Salt Lake, we are looking for a professional, hands-on Operations Manager to plan and oversee our daily operations. This is a senior-level position within the company. This role involves managing the crew including selecting candidates, and conducting interviews. This position is also responsible for the training and scheduling of employees. The Operations Manager will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the business including insulation removal and installation, as well as ensuring that vehicles and equipment are maintained and operated safely. This position will also handle customer care complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Onboards, trains, and coaches/mentors new employees.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles conflict resolution, discipline, and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
Duties/Responsibilities
- Plans and organizes daily activities related to service and operations.
- Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
- Ensures all vehicles and rigs are properly maintained and in good working order.
- Determines labor and scheduling needs to meet service and operations goals.
- Manages budgets and forecasts for operations unit.
- Purchases materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency and safety.
- Performs high quality insulation removal and installation.
- Enforces Koala Insulation operations manual and policies.
- Ensures that all legally required documents are kept up to date.
- Provides continuous improvement of customer service, quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent managerial, leadership, and supervisory skills.
- Prior knowledge of operations management.
- Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set service goals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience using a CRM preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Project Management, or related field preferred, but not required.
- Five years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and sitting.
- Must be able to access and navigate the job site.
- Working environment may be subject to high temperatures, confined spaces, and heights.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
