Protein Engineer, Experimental Computational

An amazing role for you to combine the best of both worldsexperimental and computational!

My client is expanding and seeks to hire a Scientist to collaborate with the research team and develop a protein-engineering platform .

Responsibilities :

Design and execute experiments and analyze data to further product development and research goals.
Define computational pipelines for protein structure determination using structural and sequence-based methods coupled with AI, eg Rosetta.
Generate computational workflows for protein-target interactions, including enzyme and DNA / RNA interactions.
Provide feedback to the management team to identify, develop, and execute initiatives.
Present findings and roadblocks to internal teams and offer recommendations for project advancement.

Qualifications :

PhD in structural biology, biochemistry, computational biology with 0-4 years of experience.

Strong publications / patents on protein prediction or de novo protein design, including enzyme engineering.

Ability to work independently and in teams.

Leadership skills with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of management practices and processes.

Experience :

Protein modeling, including protein-target interactions.

AI and machine-learning methods are desirable.

Proven record of staying current in the protein engineering field.

Demonstrated propensity to be creative, collaborative, and proactive.

Exceptional communication skills and supervisory experience.

Additional notes :

Compensation is $110-140k base plus bonus plus relocation.

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
