We are looking for an experienced Cement Finisher to join our team. As a Cement Finisher, you will be responsible for applying and finishing concrete surfaces according to specifications and industry standards. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of concrete structures for various construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare concrete surfaces for finishing by setting forms, ensuring proper alignment, and applying release agents.
- Pour concrete into forms and spread it evenly using shovels, rakes, and screeds.
- Operate power trowels, floats, and other hand tools to finish concrete surfaces to the desired smoothness and texture.
- Apply curing compounds or sealers to protect concrete surfaces from premature drying and cracking.
- Repair and patch damaged or uneven concrete surfaces as needed.
- Install control joints and expansion joints to minimize cracking and control shrinkage.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cement Finisher or similar role in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and curing procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA certification and/or other relevant certifications preferred.
