Job Title: Facilities Electrical Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Facilities Supervisor
Shift: Monday-Friday
Purpose:
Maintain all aspects of the plant’s electrical services.
Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and components such as lighting, fuse boxes, motors, and power supplies.
Reading and using blueprints to carry out tasks.
Performing risk assessments and safety checks.
Laying cables, piping, and tubing.
Retrofitting outdated lighting with energy-efficient options.
Testing, diagnosing, and replacing electrical systems to ensure they’re up to code.
Providing price estimates.
Conducting safety checks and managing supplies.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical issues quickly and safely.
Proficiency in related fields such as carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC installation.
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication
Excellent problem solving and time management
Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment
Must be able to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes and maintenance type vehicles.
Ability to oversee contractors
Computer skills
Requirements:
2 years’ work experience in facility type maintenance or commercial electrician.
Able to work in high places with aerial lifts and ladders
Able to lift heavy objects
Able to sit, bend, kneel, stand and walk.
Able to work in extreme heat and cold.
Willingness to learn and work to be the best of his/her abilities as well to help the Kobe Team to grow from your experience.
