Position Summary:
The To Go Specialist ensures all guests are provided with prompt and friendly service according to Kobe Japanese Steakhouse standards.
Work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced and guest-centric environment to provide guests with a smooth takeout experience. To Go Specialists must be familiar with our menu and promotions and ensure all orders are accurate and packaged correctly to be given to our guests. To Go Specialist will prepare the to go soup, salad and Kobe sauces and will be assigned additional side work. Servers are expected to keep the prep area clean and well organized. On top of taking to go orders on our company website, in-person and by phone, we also partner with Uber Eats and DoorDash.
** Listed Salary Info is our current average hourly pay rate, which includes Kobe base pay for To Go Specialist ($15-$18 per hour) plus average shared Service Charge/Tip per hour.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Knowledge of basic restaurant hospitality with service-minded attitude
- Completes daily and weekly side work requirements prior, during and after shifts
- Greets guests
- Must be upbeat, outgoing and positive with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
- Continuously standing, walking, bending, reaching, carrying and twisting and use of hands and arms
- Obtain approved food handling training and state alcohol training required by local laws within 30 days of hire
Skills and Abilities:
- Availability on Weekends and Holidays preferred
- Outgoing person acting as an ambassador of company values, mission, image to the public at all times
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Efficient communication and customer service skills
- Organized
- Ability to operate POS systems for transactions
- Basic math skills
- Follows all federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations outlined by the Kobe Employee Handbook Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 20-25 lbs. as needed
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol minimum 18 years old.
