What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - 7 pm to 7 am - 12 hr nights position at Kobelco Aluminum Products & Extrusions Inc?
Supervises and coordinates the activities of the production department in setting up and operation of production machines in the production of aluminum extrusion parts; develop and implement quality systems (QS9000 and TS16949) and audits; trains workers by explaining and demonstrating work methods and techniques in accordance with quality systems; schedules production within specific cost and quality standards.
Job Related Functions:
Supervisory and organizational skills; computer and mechanical skills; knowledge of production process and properties of non-ferrous metals (preferred)
Observes OSHA, EPA and Company rules and regulations concerning personal safety.
Exposed to temperature extremes.
Enforces company policies.
Responsible for Kaizen and 5S.
Educational Requirements:
Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
7-10 years supervisory experience in manufacturing environment.
