Job Summary
Kobussen Buses Ltd. is a leading transportation company in Wisconsin, and we are currently seeking a skilled Tour Bus Operator to join our team. As a Tour Bus Operator, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently across various routes throughout North America.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive charter buses to transport passengers on day and away trips, ensuring timely arrivals and departures while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
Navigate through diverse terrains and geographic areas, adapting to changing road conditions and traffic patterns to ensure a smooth journey for passengers.
Interact with clients, customers, and fellow drivers in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional service and support at all times.
Maintain accurate records of trip details, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, and incident reports, ensuring compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after each shift, identifying and addressing any issues promptly to ensure operational safety.
Provide clear instructions and safety briefings to passengers, respond promptly to emergencies, and exhibit excellent customer service skills at all times.
Read and interpret schedules, road signs, and driving directions to plan efficient routes and minimize delays.
Assist with minor vehicle maintenance tasks and fueling as required, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record and ability to meet off-duty DOT time requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and company policies and procedures.
Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position is $20.50 - $25.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for career growth and development.
