KCBX Terminals Company is looking for an Operations Technician to join our team in Chicago, IL. As an Operations Technician, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop long-lasting industrial skills and a variety of bulk material handling skills. The Operations Technician will be responsible for utilizing both light and heavy equipment. The successful candidate must have a positive attitude and be able to work as part of a team. They will need to be able to identify problem areas and suggest improvements.

Koch Minerals, LLC and its subsidiaries are among the world's largest dry-bulk commodity handlers, serving over 900 customers in the power generation and chemical industrial sectors and municipalities.
What You Will Do
* Assist in the direct transfer of bulk material
* Operate locomotives
* Operate a bobcat/skid steer
* Perform safety and compliance tasks daily
* Loading material onto barges and vessels
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Must have or willing to obtain a TWIC Card
Physical Requirements
* Ability to perform manual labor (shoveling, lifting up to 50 lbs.)
* Ability to use sledgehammer and pinch bar
* Ability to climb stairs
* Ability to work outdoors in various types of weather
* Shift work with rotating 8/10/12 hour schedule; must arrive to work on time
* Ability to work mandatory overtime hours for vessel loading
* Ability to work in a standing, crouching, or bending position for prolonged periods of time
What Will Put You Ahead
* Bilingual - English and Spanish
* Experience in heavy industry
* Locomotive/Rail experience
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Pay range for this role is $15-20/hr.
