The Koch Family Children's Museum of Evansville (cMoe) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Education Outreach Coordinator to help bring the magic of learning to children, families, and educators throughout Southern Indiana.
As an Education Outreach Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in expanding cMoe’s mission beyond the museum, by developing and managing educational programs that inspire curiosity and foster a love for learning in diverse community settings. Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Delivery
- Design and deliver innovative, hands-on educational programs that align with cMoe’s mission, bringing museum-quality learning experiences to schools, libraries, and community centers.
- Adapt existing museum programs for diverse audiences and create new, exciting content that sparks creativity and exploration.
- Facilitate engaging, interactive learning sessions that keep children and families excited about discovery!
Community Engagement
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local schools, educational groups, and community organizations to enhance outreach opportunities.
- Collaborate with partners to identify community educational needs and opportunities for growth.
- Be the face of cMoe at local events and meetings, promoting our programs and sharing the joy of learning.
Training & Coordination
- Manage the logistics of outreach programs, from scheduling to transportation and setting up interactive exhibits.
- Ensure smooth, seamless execution of mobile programs, creating an unforgettable experience for participants.
Evaluation & Reporting
- Use data-driven tools to assess the effectiveness of outreach initiatives.
- Analyze feedback to improve and evolve programs, reporting on successes and areas for growth.
- Share your insights with museum leadership and the community to continually elevate our outreach efforts.
Marketing & Promotion
- Collaborate with the marketing team to spread the word about our outreach programs and increase participation.
- Use social media and other platforms to celebrate successes, share stories, and connect with the community.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in education, Early Childhood Development, Child Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in educational programming, outreach, or a related field, ideally in a museum or nonprofit environment.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of child development and best practices in educational programming.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
- Top-notch organizational skills and project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with educational technology tools.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed.
