Description
Plans, schedules and manages the mechanical maintenance of amusement park rides, water park rides, facilities and maintenance staff. Coordinates projects with other park departments, contractors and ride manufacturers as required. Supervises and reviews the work of maintenance staff.
- Supervises staff; supervisory duties include scheduling, instructing, assigning, reviewing and planning work of others, coordinating activities; allocating personnel, selecting new employees; employee discipline, and upholding a high safety standard.
- Assists in developing ride maintenance budget; monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with budget allocations. Approves and processes purchase orders.
- Oversees the daily inspection of rides and water park attractions and ensures proper inspection documentation; takes necessary action to ensure compliance with established codes and regulations.
- Inspects all work in progress and completed for compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, specifications, and standards of quality and safety.
- Assists in planning, developing and implementing annual ride maintenance program; prepares ride inspection manuals.
- Coordinates maintenance projects with other Park departments, contractors and ride manufacturers as necessary. Performs maintenance duty in Park as scheduled.
- Receives and reviews various records and reports including ride modification forms, purchase orders, price quotes, mechanical drawings, downtime reports, etc.
- Operates various types of vehicles, man-lift, scissor lift, truck, rides and related equipment.
- Uses computer and clerical supplies, meters, gauges, measuring devices, mechanic's tools, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or vocational training in Maintenance/Technology/Engineering.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of prior experience in amusement parks and/or water parks.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of supervisor/management experience.
- Certifications Preferred: NAARSO Level 1 Ride Inspector or AIMS International Ride Inspector
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Adheres to Alabama Adventure's (Koch Family Entertainment LLC.) Rules of Conduct including specific grooming standards as outlined in employee handbook.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
