Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer custom automated machinery, ensuring solutions meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using CAD software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including controls engineers, project managers, and fabrication, to deliver fully integrated systems.
- Oversee the design process from concept through fabrication, installation, and testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design and engineering challenges during the fabrication and commissioning phases.
- Evaluate customer requirements, budgets, and timelines to develop optimal engineering solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in and lead customer facing concept reviews
- Support Project Management team in project scheduling
- 10 years of experience in mechanical design for custom automated machinery or related industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and precision motion.
- Experience with GD&T and mechanical detailing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, and assembly.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
